Innovation in Thermobonding: Discover SHIVA FIBER’s Hollow Low-Melt (Bi-Co) Fiber

Date: 2024/10/08

At SHIVA FIBER, innovation is at the heart of everything we do. We are excited to introduce our latest breakthrough

Hollow Low-Melt (Bi-Co) Fiber, a game-changing material for the nonwoven and thermobonding industries. Known for our expertise in low-melt (Bi-Co) polyester fibers, traditionally made with solid cross section of two polymers—high melt and low melt polyesters

SHIVA FIBER has taken a bold step forward by creating hollow Bi-Co fibers with a unique hollow cross sectioon.

This innovative design enhances the material’s performance, making it ideal for producing bulky, lightweight, and highly durable nonwoven products.

The Hollow Low-Melt fiber combines a low-melt polyester cover with a high-melt hollow core, providing superior bonding and bulkiness.

The low-melt exterior facilitates effective thermobonding, while the hollow core enhances air trapping and insulation, resulting in thicker and more comfortable products.

This fiber is particularly well-suited for producing various nonwoven materials, such as layers in blankets and bed textiles, where bulk and softness are essential.

With this innovation, SHIVA FIBER is helping manufacturers achieve new levels of product performance and comfort.
